MakerbotI have a co-worker here at Sony who has this at-home hobby of making things.  He built himself a computerized CNC router that lets you make stuff like this -
That's an image from Zelda, popped very quick and dirty into a program and then 'printed' with a router, onto a piece of plywood.
Yes, that really is awesome.
His CNC cost him like $3k total to build himself several years ago.  My husband has always sort of drooled over the thing, saying he wanted to build his own and then he could make a giant Han Solo door, or a big awesome coffee table, or whatever.  Stuff I know he'd probably never really get around to doing...
But anyway, recently this co-worker, James, just bought a 'Makerbot' which lets you 3d print with plastic.  It costs $1,800, and now my husband is drooling over IT.  lol.  The thing is that... I sort of want one too.  I've had a number of things printed through Shapeways, and I've got them sitting on

TutoringHey, Guys-
So I'm doing some tutoring and I thought maybe some of you lovely people might be interested in some of that action!  Obviously, a lot of you are not within range for in-person sessions, but one subject which could easily be done by phone or video-chat is help organizing and filling out a portfolio for college applications.  'Tis the season...for stressing out about that, and I remember it well.

Prints, prints, prints...Howdy all.
There has been a significant number of requests for prints of some the stuff I have up on here.
I'll try to make these available to you as soon as possible by uploading some higher-res files (and figuring out how the whole prints thang works 'round these parts) when I get a spare second.

). I'm really overwhelmed and grateful for Rival Schools for giving me this opportunity to work on this project! This wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the team's hard work T^T, so kudos to them!!!
If you had not heard, I've been working on Bramble Berry Tales since March 2012, doing many concept art and art assets. It is an amazing experience and I hope to continue to do my best to make this project a success!
